LIFE project for the Lesser Kestrel and the Centre of Environmental Education of Makrynitsa co-organized a meeting for the teachers who work in the implementation area of the project. The meeting was held at the old High School of Stefanovikeio.
The goal of this meeting was to present to the participants the issue of species conservation, both from a theoretical and a practical aspect. Using interactive activities, teachers tried to define their own role in the ecological chain, as well as understand what conservation and management of an endangered species actually means.
Experienced ornithologists working at the LIFE project introduced teachers to the everyday habits of Lesser Kestrels and their working “tools”, such as transmitters, bird rings, etc.
